Call, email or send a message
- Phone: 0433 475 518, Mon to Fri, 9am to 5:30pm AEST. Best for a quick question about scope, timing or whether a valuation suits you.
- Email: valuations@valuationgroup.au. Best when you want the answer in writing to share with a co-owner or your accountant.
- Message: use the form on this page and we will reply by email or phone.
Outside those hours, email or use the form and we will reply during business hours. A useful first message is short. Tell us:
- what it is for: a sale, a purchase, a shareholder buyout, a restructure, succession, or a value as at 30 June 2027
- what is being valued: the whole business, some or all of the shares, trust units or a partnership interest
- the owning structure and a rough turnover band
- the valuation date, and any date you need the report by
- whether your accountant is involved
That tells us whether it fits the fixed fee or needs a written quote.
Requesting a quote
If you know you need a valuation, request a quote. It asks the questions we would ask on the phone and shows the fixed fee for an engagement inside the fixed-fee scope.
Groups, turnover over $10 million, several interests and disputed matters are quoted in writing instead. Fixed fee, confirmed in writing before we start. No hourly billing and no surprises. The fixed fee applies once we confirm the interest, purpose, structure and records fit the fixed-fee scope. Anything outside it is quoted in writing before we start. The fixed fee and add-ons are on business valuation cost; the steps from enquiry to report are on our process.
Accountants and advisers
Accountants, lawyers and advisers can call or email about a client in general terms. To see a client's matter or documents, we need that client's written consent.
For accountants explains how referrals work. Regular referrers should read the Accountant Partner Program; for several clients valued at one date, start with bulk valuations.
What not to send by email
Please do not attach financial statements, tax returns, BAS, payroll reports, trust deeds, shareholder agreements or bank records to an email or to the form on this page. Email is not a safe way to move them, and we do not need them to scope a quote.
Once you engage us, you receive a secure upload link for your matter and every document comes through it, so your records sit together instead of across inboxes. Want a confidentiality undertaking first? Ask: we can sign one before any documents are shared.
National service, no shopfront
Valuations are completed Australia-wide. A regional business is valued the same way as a city one: from its records, our questions and a conversation with you about how it actually runs. That is why no street address is listed. You do not need to visit an office.
Independent Business Valuation is operated by Valuation Group Pty Ltd (ABN 48 702 469 252). It is not a separate legal entity, and it is not associated with any other business that uses a similar name.
Family law, disputes and tax questions
- Family law property settlements are prepared through our dedicated family law practice, Family Law Valuations. Tell us it is a family law matter and we will point you there.
- Disputes and court work: a report prepared for commercial or tax purposes is not a court expert report. Court or tribunal work is a separate engagement with its own fee, quoted in writing.
- Tax questions: we do not give tax, legal or financial advice, so questions about your tax position belong with your tax adviser. We are glad to work alongside them.
- Property, vehicles and personal assets: Independent Business Valuation values businesses and business ownership interests only.
